CAR2GO USER MANUAL

How great of you to join us. It says a lot about you.
You aim to change the private vehicle concept, and to turn transport into a service and not a possession,
and, this way, save thousands of shekels a month as well as reduce air pollution and road congestion!
The moment you join the service you become part of a community of thousands of drivers taking part in collective transport. Remember,
the vehicles are used by many drivers every day, hence it is important to maintain and care for them as if they were your own personal vehicles.

Our service operates in Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Givatayim, Rishon LeZion, Jerusalem, Ashdod, Herzliya, Ra'anana, Netanya and Haifa.

Subscribers to CAR2GO can use two modes of travel at any given time, and in all the cities mentioned.

CAR2GO operates in two travel modes:

The Red Mode – the “Round Trip” Mode for medium and long trips inside and outside the city.

In this mode, a vehicle is picked up from a specific carpark and returned to the same carpark from which it was taken.
Payment: Payment is calculated based on the number of hours the vehicle is at your service in addition to the number of kilometers driven.

The Blue Mode – The “One Way” Mode for short trips within the city.

In this mode, a vehicle is picked up from a designated service carpark and returned to any other designated carpark.
Payment: Payment is calculated per minutes of use only.

Now that the concept is clear, we will add a few rules to ensure a good and successful cooperation:

  • You have not yet downloaded our app ?The app for the Red Mode and the app for the Blue Mode can be downloaded from the app stores.
  • On your first trip, contact Customer Service at 8255* and one of our representatives will guide you and activate a “smartcard” to you to use as backup to the app in cases where parking is in underground carparks, or when the mobile’s battery runs out.
  • You have reached the vehicle ?Thoroughly and patiently check the vehicle before starting the engine .Did you identify any damage ?Please report to us to the app or to the *8255 hotline before you start the vehicle.
  • Do not transport animals and do not smoke in the vehicle.
  • Anyone not listed in our system as a driver is strictly prohibited from driving the service vehicle.
  • In the Red Mode, the vehicle must be returned with the fuel tank at least a quarter full. All our vehicles have a universal fuel card. Did you refill the tank? Refueling will earn you a NIS 10 bonus for your next month’s trip..
  • In the Red Mode: make sure to return the vehicle on time – late returns will be fined. Need to extend the reservation? Use the app to check that the vehicle is available and extend the vehicle’s reservation.

Accidents and Damages:

If you were involved in an accident or the vehicle was damaged during your reservation, do not leave the site. Contact us immediately, and we will instruct you .In addition, in the vehicle you can find an accident and damage report. Fill it out and deliver it to us within 24 hours.
Note that it is your responsibility to take the full details of everyone involved in the accident.

Deductible cancellation:

To avoid payment and deductibles in case of damage or accident, we recommend acquiring zero-deductible vehicle insurance to ensure a care-free trip.

Credits and charges:

To make it easier for you, on the company’s website we have included an index of all costs and credits.
Please review it carefully before your place your first reservation.

Service representatives respond at the touch of a button:

One-click on the vehicle’s call button (located to the left of the steering wheel) and within seconds you will receive a response from our service representatives on the speaker. We are available 24/7.

 

The Red “Round Trip” Mode Guide:

Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Givatayim, Rishon LeZion, Jerusalem, Ashdod, Herzliya, Ra’anana, Netanya and Haifa.

Making a reservation:

You can make a reservation on the spot or in advance through the app.
We recommend reserving the vehicle the moment you know you need it to ensure that the carpark nearest to you is available. Start and end time must be set when making the reservation.
We recommend taking into account a 15-minute safety margin at least when returning the vehicle to avoid late return.

Reservation change and reservation cancellation:

You can change or cancel a reservation at any time using the app. If you did not manage to do so, our customer service center representatives will be happy to help.
Note that securing a vehicle depends on its availability.

Entering the vehicle:

Have you entered the vehicle? Click the button on the app and start a damage check.
Prior to switching on, notify us via the app of any new vehicle damage, dirt, unpleasant odors, or any other problems.
In addition, contact us and report to our Customer Service at *8255..
Please note starting the vehicle means you have reported a functional, clean vehicle with no new damage. At this time, responsibility is passed on to you.

Half-way stop:

Be sure to close all windows and lock doors by clicking on” lock the doors “on the app, or by swiping the smartcard over the vehicle’s windshield. The key should be left in the vehicle but remember to take it out of the switch.

Parking at time of use is at your own risk .But why invite trouble? Use Pango.
All our vehicles subscribe to Pango Service. Pango Activation and Termination is the subscriber’s responsibility only.

Refueling:

The vehicle must be returned with a fuel tank at least a quarter full. All our vehicles have a universal fuel card.
Did you refuel? Refueling will earn you a NIS 10 bonus for your next month’s trip.
Returning the vehicle with less than a quarter of a fuel tank will incur additional charges under the contract, in addition to the actual cost of use .That would be unfortunate.

Vehicle cleaning:

We provide you with new, clean and well-maintained vehicles.
The interior of the vehicle must be kept clean .Smoking and transport of animals is forbidden. It’s not that we don’t like animals, but one should be considerate of others.
That’s how cooperative transport works.
If the vehicle is not clean, let us know. In addition, you can take the vehicle to any automatic car wash and clean it at no cost.

Car wash will add a bonus of NIS35 to your account for your next month’s trip.
Returning the vehicle in a dirty condition for any reason will incur additional charges, as specified in the contract

At the end of your trip, make sure that …

  • The vehicle was returned and parked in the same carpark from where it was taken;
  • The vehicle is clean;
  • Windows are closed;
  • The fuel tank is at least a quarter full;
  • Lights are off;
  • The key is not in the switch;
  • You didn’t leave personal belongings in the vehicle;
  • The vehicle is locked, and you have check that no damage was done during your reservation.

If your reservation ends half an hour before scheduled return time, press the X button located to the left of the steering wheel, allowing

our system to detect termination of use and receive a 50% refund on the remaining time.

 

 

 

The Blue One-Way” Mode Guide:

Netanya and Haifa

Making a reservation:

The vehicles in this mode can be reserved 15 minutes ahead of time at no extra cost. If you did not get to the vehicle but still want to reserve it, extending reservation time will cost you half the cost of a minute of travel.

Change and cancellation of the reservation:

Each subscriber is entitled to cancel up to 5 trips per year at no cost. From the sixth cancellation on, you will be charged NIS 5 per cancellation.

Park, turn off the vehicle and press the “Half-way Stop” button .At the end of the stop, return to the vehicle and continue the trip .The cost of a half-way stop minute is 50% of the cost of a standard travel minute. During a half-way stop, park in accordance with local laws and in authorized places only.

Charging the vehicles

We provide you with new, clean and well-maintained vehicles.

If the vehicle is not clean – please let us know .Returning the vehicle in a dirty condition for any reason will incur additional charges as specified in the contract.

Car cleaning:

We make sure to provide you with new, clean and well-maintained vehicles. The interior of the vehicle must be kept clean. Animals must not smoke or drive animals in our vehicles.
It’s not that we don’t like animals – but everyone has to be considerate. That’s how it is in cooperative transport. If the vehicle is not clean – we were told. Return the vehicle in position Dirty for any reason will incur additional charges as detailed in the contract.

At the end of your trip, make sure that …

  • The vehicle has been returned to one of the designated carparks in a manner that does not interfere with the rest of parking spaces and in accordance with municipal laws;
  • The vehicle is clean;
  • Make sure the engine is silent and that the indicator display is turned off (the word READY is not shown). Electric vehicles are very quiet and sometimes it just seems that the engine is silent .Then click on End of Trip on the app

If any problems with the end of your reservation arise, contact Customer Service at *8255.

Changes in user manuals and rates: CAR2GO reserves the right to amend and change the contract and rates from time to time.
If that occurs, all CAR2GO subscribers will be e-mailed a memorandum containing all changes made within 14 days of the changes.
A copy of the new contract and rates will also be published on the company's website.
Validity: The contract will remain in force even in the event that one of its provisions appears to be illegal, unenforceable or invalid .To the extent that the provision is found to be illegal, it will be cancelled.
